Mother’s Day is something I always look forward to. Being the only girl (my parents blessed me with two younger brothers!), I have always been the one to make Mother’s Day the girly holiday it should be. As a young kid, I would wake up early that Sunday morning, make breakfast as best I could (sorry for the runny eggs mom!), run outside to our garden and pick the prettiest flower in the bunch and serve my mom breakfast in bed. Though we still love to keep this tradition alive with Sunday brunch and bottomless mimosas, I like to give my mom something special along with my love now that I am older!

Jo Malone has come out with a fragrance that resembles exactly what spring and summer should be- fresh and clean. My mom and I were sitting at Starbucks one Saturday morning a few weeks ago when she smelt the sample of this fragrance in a magazine- and she instantly fell in love…so mom, if you’re reading, you already know what I am getting you!

My mom brought out the inner girly girl in me from a young age. I remember only wanting to wear dresses to preschool every.single.day and my mom simply said “sure honey, why not.” Along with bringing out the girly side of me, she also has helped me to not take life so seriously. There is not one day I don’t see my mom smile or laugh, even through the toughest of times. This has shown me that through it all, a smile can help cure anything.
